Aftercare

  • Hydrate: Drink plenty of water the day before and the day of your tattoo.
     
  • Eat Well: Have a good meal 1–2 hours before your appointment—low blood sugar can make you feel lightheaded.
     
  • Avoid Alcohol & Blood Thinners: Skip alcohol, aspirin, and ibuprofen 24 hours before your session.
     
  • Moisturize: Keep the area moisturized in the days leading up to your appointment, but don’t apply lotion on the day of.
     
  • Dress Comfortably: Wear loose clothing that gives easy access to the area being tattooed.
     
  • Get Rest: Come well-rested and relaxed for the best experience.

  • Leave the bandage on for 2–4 hours (or as advised).
     
  • Wash gently with lukewarm water and fragrance-free soap. Pat dry with a clean towel.
     
  • Apply a thin layer of fragrance-free tattoo ointment or moisturizer (like Aquaphor or Hustle Butter).
     
  • Keep it clean and moisturized—apply ointment 2–3 times daily for the first few days, then switch to unscented lotion.
     
  • Do NOT pick, scratch, or peel—let scabs and flakes fall off naturally.
     
  • Avoid soaking (no swimming, baths, or hot tubs) for 2–3 weeks.
     
  • Stay out of the sun—UV rays fade fresh tattoos. After healing, always use sunscreen.
     
  • Wear loose clothing to avoid rubbing the tattooed area.
     
  • Watch for signs of infection (excess redness, swelling, pus)—contact your artist or a doctor if needed.
